Ayurveda is the worlds oldest system of healthcare & medicine. It is the science ofliving! Ayur meaning life & Veda meaning science or knowledge. The body has an innate inner intelligence and consciousness. The aim of Ayurveda is to enliven this inner intelligence to restore & optimise homeostasis or balance in the body & therefore our self repair mechanisms.
We continue our Ayurvedic wisdom series with a 2 hour workshop of the 6 tastes of Ayurveda. A balanced diet includes all of the 6 tastes - sweet, salty, sour, pungent, bitter & astringent. Each of these has a relationship with the doshas & we can use them to bring balance. This workshop
will explore each taste & how to incorporate. A hand out will accompany (including some recipes) so you don't have to remember it all!
A short meditation included (anintegral part of living Ayurvedically!)
